Other Tips on GSIS Program for Foreign Students
1. Education expenses
Tuition Fees are about 2 mil. Korean won (2,000 US$) per semester, and dormitory boarding fees (including meals)
are about 1 mil. Korean won (1,000 US$) per semester.

2. Scholarship availability
Full or partial scholarship can be available for outstanding students, domestic or foreign. According to a university rule,
about 50% of tuition fees are waived for all foreign graduate students. In addition, GSIS now has a lot of fund for scholarships
and student exchanges for outstanding MA and Ph.D students.

3. Night class availability
Depending on situations of GSIS, night classes can be open only at some of core courses. Day classes must be taken to
fulfill all requirements for graduation.

4. Languages used in class: English and Korean
Currently, about 50% of GSIS courses are being taught in English. The percentage is expected to increase to over 80%
in coming years except the courses in Korean Studies major.
